About the Artist
Joe Zoeller is an acrylic artist born in NY and currently living in the mountains of Northeast Tennessee. However, the subject matter in his artwork is global. While Joe’s work is best classified a modern realism, like most contemporary art, it not really one “style”, but is an amalgum of styles, including modern realism, precisionism, post-inpressionism, and pop-art and explores the use of modern media. Joe chose to work with acrylics because he prefers strong lines and vibrant colors and acrylics are amenable to mixed acrylic and ink techniques. Joe’s emphasis is on architecture, city scenes, and flora but he has also produced work on other subjects when they are sufficiently interesting and compatible with the medium. Pricing and Shipping
Pricing: Original works are priced based on size, support (paper, canvas, board), and complexity. Of course, complexity is up to the artist’s judgement, so prices for similary sized works may vary. However, generally prices for original works will fall into the following ranges:
Less than 125 sq. in., $250-300; 125-200 sq. in., $300-400; 200-400 sq. in. , $450-550; 400-600 sq. in., $450-550; 600-900 sq. in. $500-650.
The artist occasionally displays work at local galleries and events near Kingsport, TN at lower (often significantly lower) prices to encourage community ownership of local art.
Print pricing: Prices are standardized based on print size. Prices for matted prints are Mini (6X8) $45; Small (8X10) $50; Medium (8X12/9X12) $55; Large (12X16/12X18)
Unmatted prints can be provided at a $10 discount.
Shipping: Shipping is extra and can be expensive, especially for larger pieces. Before purchasing any art, please contact the artist to arrange payment and shipping..
